The Cowboys were 8-3 going into Thursday’s 33-10 loss to the Eagles (now 9-3) because of a conservative, run-heavy game plan. It had been protecting their limited defense well and was a successful enough formula to help them already match their win total of the previous three seasons. They quickly learned, however, it doesn’t work one bit in their attempt to dethrone the Eagles as division champs.
