Lots of action in the NBA with 12 games on the slate. Tonight is looking like one of those nights where you’re going to want to get some value plays in your lineup because that will allow you to roster some higher priced players. Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, James Harden, and Nikola Vucevic are my top plays of the night. Paul continues to put up huge numbers with Blake Griffin out, Damian Lillard gets a dream matchup vs the Lakers, James Harden has been playing out of his mind recently, and Vucevic has an amazing matchup and will see a high usage rate with Tobias Harris out. However, it is almost impossible to roster all four of these players in a lineup.
Have already discussed the top plays at the point guard position, so Marcus Smart is the cream of the crop at the lower-tier level of point guards. Also like Jordan Clarkson (SN Value Play) as well. The shooting guard position is loaded tonight with Tyreke Evans and Victor Oladipo being sensational plays at the position. There are also some quality low-tier options in Jamal Crawford and Evan Fournier. The small forward position is a great place to go with mid-tier type of players as Chandler Parsons is the best bang for your buck option because he doesn’t cost a lot and he’ll be forced to do everything with Rajon Rondo, Monta Ellis, and Tyson Chandler out. Still like Chandler even if Ellis suits up. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a great choice as well.
The power forward position offers the best place to save money at tonight as Josh Smith has been consistent and still has a low price tag. Meanwhile, Jason Smith is a great play and doesn’t cost a lot. Mitch McGary finally faces a good defensive team, so we could see a huge decline from him tonight, but he’s still worth rostering since his price tag is still low. Going to be using Nikola Vucevic in most of my lineups as the Knicks have no one that can contain him. The rest of the position is filled with over priced players at the top and reliable under priced players at the bottom. This is going to be the last NBA playbook until February 20th (Friday) because of the All-Star break. Good luck tonight!
